Today Emma and I were playing hide-and-go-seek in the basement when she stumbled onto an iron I had accidentally left on.
She ended up burning her arm, a little of her hand and has a few scratches on her tummy.
I know it hurts but she has maintained such a brave face. She allowed mommy to put cold clothes on it, took Advil (which she hates) and has just been in such good spirits considering what happened.
I called Tele Health and they just reassured me that I had done the right thing and to bandage it up with Polysporin after a few hours.
I can't express how terrible I feel. I know it was an accident and sometimes these things happen, but it is such a rotten feeling to know you somehow contributed to hurting your child.
The good news the burns looks mild. A little red, but really other than the initial cry when she got burnt she has been in good spirits. Daddy went out to get a bunch of special bandages to wrap the burns up and we decorated them with Elmo stickers which made her happy! We will keep monitoring her and hopefully she will heal nicely.

Here is our brave little trooper.

What a little tropper and what a smart idea to get special band aids, Daddy had his thinking cap on. I am glad to hear that it is not "too serious"
