4 month check-up

Today was Gabriel's 4 month check-up. We had a nice surprise as Papa and Uncle Andy came to the doctors office to help with Emma. After the appointment we popped by Grandma and Auntie Nicole's school to say "Hi".

Gabriel is growing well and is 15 lbs 15 oz and 65 cm long. He is a little above average in weight and 95th percentile in height...it's those long legs!
With him being so long I was concerned that he should be moved to a big car seat, but am not quite ready to give up the convenience of the bucket. The good news is my doctor thinks he is okay in it for at least another month...phew!

She also suggested that we start cereal this month. Emma started cereal at 4 months, but I know that some doctors are now suggesting waiting until six months and that just breast milk is okay until then. She said I could wait if I wanted, but thought given his weight and appetite he would be good to go whenever I wanted. So.... after talking to Rob and my mom ( whose opinions I always like to have) we decided to give it a go.

So there you have it, he loved it. I also forgot to mention that our poor little peanut got his second set of immunizations and although he didn't enjoy the jabbing, is doing well today and is alert and smiling...
